There are few things more important to us than our health. However many of us think of health only in terms of our physical health. The Bible teaches us that we must consider all aspects of our health in order to stay fit. When we consider the issue of health we should think of our spiritual, mental, physical, emotional, and financial health.

We need to be diligent in preserving all of these areas. There are many ways to maintain good health. As it relates to our spiritual health, we must never forsake any opportunity to hear and study the word of God. Staying rooted in the scripture acts as preventative medicine and helps to maintain a steady focus on that which is good and productive for us.

The purpose of nurturing our physical strength is to give us longevity in this life. Longevity allows us to witness the great and wonderful power of God in operation here on earth for many years. We all want to see our grandchildren and great grandchildren grow from children to adulthood. Our emotional well being is necessary to our ability to function as fruitful soldiers for Christ. If we are not stable in our emotions, we bring negativity and conflict to any situation in which we find ourselves engaged. Of course, we know why it is important to keep our minds in good repair. As I have heard many pray before it is indeed a blessing to wake up once again in our "right mind".

It is equally obvious why we need to create healthy financial portfolios for ourselves. The kingdom does not exist without our charitable resources. Maintaining healthy finances allows us to continue to give as the Lord has provided for us. It is indeed time that we seek to understand health and make a commitment to good health in all aspects of our lives. May God bless you and keep his loving arms around you and yours always.
